    Default Confirmed Patch 2.3.0 Changes

    General

    • Auction's duration have been changed to 12, 24 or 48 hours. Also deposit prices for all duration will be the same.
    • You will now be able to ctrl-click a recipe to preview the item the recipe will create in the dressing room.
    • All items of the auction house will be sorted server side, basically it means that when you'll try to sort a particular item by price, it will sort it through all page, not only the current one.
    • Zul'Aman, a 10-person raid instance located in Ghostlands will be introduced.
    • New Honor Badge rewards will be introduced.
    • Zul'Aman and Karazhan boss encounters will drop Honor badges.
    • Guild Banks will be introduced.
    • Quest reward experience will be increased, while experience required per-level 20-60 will be decreased.
    • Spell effects labeled "Increases Healing by x" will now increase spell damage by around 33% of that value as well.
    • New relics will be added to Heroic badge and Arena vendors that offer bonuses for all talent builds.
    • A new title, "Champion of the Naaru," will be added for players who complete the quest chain involving the old Tempest Keep Raid attunement. This title will be obtainable at a maximum of level 70.
    Reputations

    • You can buy now buy Super Mana and Health Potions from Ogri'la quartermaster. They're usable everywhere and costs 50 Apexis Shard.
    • A New flying mount will be made available through Cenarion Expedition reputation. The mount will require Exalted and about 2000 gold.
    PvP

    • Daily quests will be added for Battlegrounds. The quests are random each day and will reward gold, experience and honor.
    • Season 3 Weapons will require a rating of 1850 to purchase, while shoulder slot items will require 2000.
    • A new "Personal Rating System" will be added to prevent "selling" Arena teams.
      • To restrict this we're implementing a personal rating system in patch 2.3. This is an additional arena rating that is unique to each character for each team they belong to. This rating rises and declines using the same formula as the arena team rating, but only in games that character participates in.
      • You'll also be able to track this rating through the PvP interface. The personal rating will be used for purchasing items that require a specific rating, and also be used to determine eligibility for the end of season rewards. So, a player will have to achieve a specific rating, and not just get into a team to see the rewards that are meant to visually distinguish the high-rated players.

Default Re: Confirmed Patch 2.3.0 Changes

    and from WoWInsider.com:

In one of the rarest turnarounds I've ever seen on the forums, a couple of posters made doom and gloom posts with titles like "Tom Chilton doesn't care about healer people!" -- apparently because the developers didn't make a special PvP cloak available in the game. So then Tom Chilton, posting as the fearsome lich Kalgan, comes right back at them and says "one PvP healing cloak, coming right up!" followed by, "would you like fries with that?"

No that's not actually what he said... but close enough. He really said:
There's a PvP healing cloak in patch 2.3. The vital stats are...

    34 stam
    15 int
    16 spell crit
    23 resil
    +51 healing / +17 spell dmg
But one poster objected that spell crit wasn't as handy to healers as mana/5sec ... so he changed it!
Fair enough, the cloak now has 6 mana/5sec instead of the spell crit. Enjoy!
I know. You're thinking, "if only every change was that easy," right? Actually, today it is. Read on...

There are several other new items coming up, too! First the DPS PvP cloaks:
Well here it is (also patch 2.3)!

    Melee:
    34 Stam
    20 Crit
    20 Resil
    46 AP
    112 Armor Penetration

    Caster
    34 Stam
    15 Int
    16 Spell Crit
    23 Resil
    +27 Spell Damage/Heal
And finally, a melee weapon just for hunters:
    Yes, there's a Vengeful Gladiator's Waraxe

    62 Stam
    46 Crit
    33 Resil
    15 Hit
    92 AP
    98 Armor Penetration

Cost: 1000 arena points (no rating requirement)
Some of you may be wondering why this kind of thing is just coming out now. Why didn't they add in more healer items earlier on?
Early on we had a philosophy that we wouldn't put tanking gear or full sets of healing gear on the pvp vendors since at the time there were concerns that players would feel like it was advantageous to pvp in order to get gear to beat raid content.

Turns out that philosophy mostly sucked (although we're holding onto the no-tanking gear part of it), so we fully itemize for healing in PvP gear now and rely on resilience to make it pvp-specific enough that it won't be considered ultimate raid gear.
Yep. That's Blizzard admitting that their previous philosophy "sucked." Is this Blizzard finally opening up and immediately responding to player concerns? Or have these items actually been under development for a while, only now becoming open to the public? Does it matter, as long as there's sparkly treasure coming up in patch 2.3?
