    Default It's Haswell day

Time to throw out your PC builds and start afresh. Here's a nice bit of kit:

I just finished ordering up a new MB Asus Sabertooth X79 LGA 2011 with Intel core i7-3930K sandy bridge 3.2 GHz six-core processor.
Since the ECO liquid cooler ruptured and doused my innards with a foul smelling substance I will not be returning to liquid any time soon.

    Not a happy camper tonight.....

Kinda wish I had seen this ten minutes ago.... Looks pretty decent.

My PC build is going towards my daughter's jaw surgery and a couple of crowns. I'll probably be sticking with my 6850 Core 2 Duo for a while yet.
    Siggy.

That sucks man, glad i stuck with my air cooled after hearing that. I had almost bought one of those but the son(who likes liquid cooling but only when you make it yourself) said not to go there.

Err, 3930K is still tops as it has 6 cores and not the standard 4. Anything above the 3770K is still specialty, and is not released at this time. See:

If you are going to liquid cool, use a non conductive liquid. If you get a leak it won't fry your parts. It will just make a mess.

I think after it leaks the non conductive fluid then the thing overheats and leaves you with a mess. It was at the point of no power except to some fans..... Will see what happens with the new air cooled version in a few days. It did work well for a few years.
